Job Description:
Gator Bio is a fast-growing bioanalytical company with a strong
team, amazing technologies, and solid financial backers. We are
executing the plan to build a leading brand in the life science
tool business. Our first product line consists of fiber optic
biosensor solutions to accelerate and simplify therapeutic
development, life science research, and biomarker discovery. Our
software is FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant. Gator Bio's customers
include pharma, biopharma, biotech, CROs, CDMOs, and academic
research labs. We sell to North America, APAC, and Europe.We are
looking for a seasoned professional, well-versed in the life
science tool business, to join the senior management team and lead
our sales organization in North America. The ideal candidate will
work in-person at our headquarters in Palo Alto, California and is
willing to travel up to 75% of the time.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales plan to sell capital equipment and
consumables to pharma, biopharma, biotech, CRO, CDMO, and academic
research customers in the US and Canada.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales targets consistently.
- Supervise and help regional sales managers meet their
targets.
- Manage field application and customer service teams.
- Communicate with CEO and leadership team regularly on sales and
market status.
- Mentor sales team members to achieve both company's and
personal goals.
- Build a qualified prospect base, with the goal of closing sales
to meet revenue targets.
- Create accurate sales forecasts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer
relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and
objectives.
- Enforce the use of CRM tools such as SalesForce and
NetSuite.
- Understand competitive landscape and market trends.
- Attend trade shows, generate leads, and expand the company's
customer base.
- Ensure every customer's success.
- Coordinate efforts and activities with internal departments
including Marketing and R&D.
- Plan and organize internal sales meetings.Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage a $50M annual revenue sales
organization.
- Successful experience as a national sales team leader with a
proven track record.
- Strong desire for great success.
- Hands-on experience in life sciences analytical tool
space.
- Exposure to molecular interaction techniques such as SPR, BLI,
ITC, etc. preferred.
- Knowledge of analytical technologies for antibodies, proteins,
small molecules, gene therapy, and cell therapy, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales forecasts and generate
recurring revenue streams.
- Strong leadership with outstanding communication,
interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Great planning, organizational, and creative thinking
skills.
- Strategic thinker and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Familiarity with CRM technologies and tools.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing.
- Understanding financial statements.
- Degree in life sciences related fields preferred.Physical

- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 40
lbs.
- This role will require long periods of standing, walking, and
sitting.
- The employee will be required to use hands for computer
work.
- Must pass a health screening.
- Domestic and international travel: Required.$200,000 - $250,000
a year
